Niall grew up in Manchester, England. He received his BA in chemistry from Amherst College. While at Amherst, Niall worked with Dr. Christopher Durr, focusing on the synthesis of new group IV and V complexes for the catalysis of ring-opening polymerization of cyclic esters, to better understand the kinetics of the reaction. He moved to Madison in fall 2025 where he then joined the Berry lab. Aside from chemistry, he enjoys video games, hiking, cooking, and trains.
He is excited to start working on the HEMAC project, substituting axial ligands.
